The dossier, signed by Hulvio Brant Aleixo on 10 September 1968, documents the case of Rivalino Mafra da Silva, who according to his son Raimundo, age 12, vanished on the morning of 20 August 1962 inside a yellow-dust whirlwind raised by two small oval objects, 40 to 50 centimeters across, parked a few meters from the door of the family's adobe casebre. The night before, on 19 August 1962, father and son reported seeing a four-legged shadow crossing the kitchen and hearing thick, slurred voices threatening Rivalino's life. CICOANI records that Diamantina police, Military Police tracking dogs from Belo Horizonte, and a psychiatric exam at the Juizado de Menores produced no evidence of fugue, homicide, or delusion, and that a postal worker named Antônio Rocha had reported two balls of fire circling over Duas Pontes the week before. A skeleton said to be Rivalino's was reportedly found near the casebre on the third day of Carnival 1963, per A Estrela Polar (Diamantina, 10/03/63).
