The file is a 28 January 1981 transmittal (Encaminhamento Nº 006/A2/I COMAR) from the 1º Comando Aéreo Regional, 2ª Seção, forwarding to CISA-BR a xeroxed Navy Informe Nº 012/4º DN dated 21 January 1981. That Informe retransmits Informe (A-1) Nº 005 of 19/01/81 from GNN, describing how on 05/05/80 between 04:00 and 04:15 the corveta "Mearim" sighted yellow-focused unidentified objects sitting on the surface of the Amazon River between Vila Amazônia and the city of Parintins, with the objects not captured on radar despite being within its range. A hand-drawn map on page 3 marks two sighting positions (Fig. 1 at 04:00, Fig. 2 at 04:15) and notes that the objects had the shape of headlights ("farois") with yellow colors resting on the water surface.
