A CENTCOM operator flagged something unusual over Kuwait in May 2022, captured it with a U.S. military system, and hand-marked the area of interest with a red circle before sending it up the chain to AARO — an unusual step that signals the reporter took the sighting seriously. The image shows an elongated, gradient-like contrast anomaly, and a companion mission report notes the object was tracked moving north to northeast. Despite the documentation, analysts were unable to identify what they were looking at, leaving this one officially unresolved.
The United States Central Command submitted a report of an unidentified anomalous phenomenon (UAP) to the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) consisting of a still image derived from a U.S. military system in 2022. The original reporter digitally altered the imagery by adding a red line encircling an area of interest before submitting it to AARO. An accompanying mission report, DoW-UAP-D12, described the UAP as moving from north to northeast. The operator reported that they were unable to positively identify the UAP.
