A U.S. military platform operating near Greece in 2024 captured just over a minute of sensor footage showing an object — described in accompanying mission documentation as diamond-shaped and traveling at roughly 434 knots — that was entirely invisible to electro-optical and visible-spectrum sensors, appearing only in short-wave infrared. That sensor-specific detectability is the detail that sets this case apart: when the operator switches away from SWIR, the object simply vanishes, and it's never reacquired. AARO has logged it as unresolved.

The United States Central Command submitted a report of an unidentified anomalous phenomenon (UAP) to the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) consisting of one minute and five seconds of video footage captured via multiple sensor modalities aboard a U.S. military platform in 2024. An accompanying mission report, DoW-UAP-D7, described the UAP as “diamond-shaped” and moving at approximately 434 knots. The observer also reported that the UAP was only detectable via short-wave infrared (SWIR) sensor.
