Unresolved UAP Report, United Arab Emirates, June 2024
Captured by an infrared sensor over the Gulf of Oman in 2024, this 21-second clip shows an object described in the accompanying mission report as having a vertical pole or bar hanging beneath it — though the observing crew flagged the possibility it could be a reflection off the water's surface. The shape holds position near the center of frame throughout, appearing as an inverted teardrop with a linear mass trailing below. AARO received the footage from U.S. Northern Command and the case remains unresolved, leaving the reflection-versus-object question open.
The United States Northern Command submitted a report of an unidentified anomalous phenomenon (UAP) to the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) consisting of 21 seconds of video footage from an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform in 2024. An accompanying mission report, DoW-UAP-D8, described the UAP as consisting of an object with a vertical pole or bar attached to the bottom of the object. The observer also reported that the UAP may instead be a reflection from an object in the water.
