Drawn from the earliest wave of postwar disc sightings, these memos show the U.S. Army Air Forces treating flying saucer reports as a legitimate operational concern — not a curiosity to be dismissed. The Air Materiel Command's involvement is significant: this was the technical and intelligence arm responsible for analyzing foreign aircraft and advanced technology, which says something about how seriously the phenomenon was being taken at the institutional level.
This file contains memorandums and correspondence related to flying disc/saucer sightings and that those are a matter of concern for the Air Materiel Command.
